My "brother from another mother", Scott Fergusson had a birthday coming up, and while drawing inspiration from his 1966 Shelby Cobra in a metallic red body with a white racing stripe down it's middle, I decided to make a guitar to match the car. This guitar has been reliced as Scott's 'future vintage' custom model which shows only subtle signs of age a guitar which has not been played much would show. Since Scott is not a guitar player, this guitar would not show signs of wear per se as much as it would show signs of aging of a 48 year old guitar. The body finish shows consistent weather checking patterns, while the white pickguard and racing stripe have yellowed from years of exposure to certain UV light. The chrome hardware shows clear marks of age, but is still shiny. The back of the neck is lightly worn from years of handling. This guitar was custom made for Scott, hence the name "Fergusson Brewmaster" on the headstock as well as "FERGUSSON" in touring style stencil on the age approriate, matching case. The guitar also came with my certificate of authenticity. Below you can see closeups of the guitar as well as Scott with the guitar + car.
